"too expensive for what it is"

Camping Les Gorges is located in Saint Martin d'Ardèche. The location was clean. The pool was very nice although too small compared to the pictures seen on the site. No seats in the afternoon on the chairs, little space between the pool and the fence (little terrace). The reception on the campsite was not very pleasant. However pleasant scenery, quiet camping and crowded area of activity for all ages. The entertainment was limited by the manager, indeed, if the music was not extinguished 5 minutes after the animation the son of the manager came to complain to the host. However very nice host.

Located in the south of the Ardèche, in Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes, in Saint-Martin-d'Ardèche, the 4-star campsite Les Gorges welcomes you at the gates of the Ardèche Gorges and the Rhone Valley, in a wooded area of 3.5 hectares at the edge of the river Ardèche, accessible directly from your holiday site.
In this upmarket campsite with breathtaking views of the cliffs of Aiguèze and direct access to the river, you can stay comfortably in air-conditioned mobile homes, Comfort, Luxury or Premium, can accommodate between 5 and 7 people, fully equipped and decorated with a semi-covered terrace with garden furniture. Your motorhomes, tents and caravans will be able to occupy vast shaded and delimited sites, installed for some at the edge of the river, all provided with electrical connection.
To enhance your stay, you will find an aquatic area composed of a swimming pool, a paddling pool, a Jacuzzi and a solarium to bask in the sun, a playground for your toddlers and a multisports ground. To alternate swimming settings, the river in direct access will seduce you with its landscaped beach - determined from the descent by canoe - and its natural environment preserved.
In summer, various activities will be organized during the day such as water aerobics classes or sports tournaments and the mini-club will offer many activities for 6-12 year olds.
The bar-restaurant on the shaded terrace awaits you to enjoy ice cream, drinks and varied dishes and enjoy lively music evenings while the small grocery store will allow you to make some purchases of the daily and find bread and pastries in the morning.
From this luxury campsite with a family atmosphere conducive to hiking, follow the advice of the reception and go stroll on the village markets at 800 meters, go down the Gorges de l'Ardèche or access Vallon Pont d'Arc located to 30 km to visit its unavoidable Cave inscribed with the world inheritance of UNESCO!
