"A CAMPING TO FORGET"

Camping well located in the pines with access to the beach where we could have a great holiday if ... the owners knew how to manage it. We were 2 nights without sleep because our caravan was stuck between the tents of young people doing the bazaar until about 2:30. We have been forced to anticipate our departure because between a family and young people the owner does not take position He does not know how to be respected so it is the most generous who goes away. All good for him as he did not refund the overpayment and rebooked our location immediately. In clear cryptic owner

Very nice campsite. We feel that the owner of this campsite (La Gachère) is concerned about the respect of the natural setting of the pine forest (plantations, wood fittings,?). The layout of the mobile homes is remarkable thus allowing the intimacy of the families (which is not the case of some campsites around where the mobilhomes are glued to each other and often without shading). The 3 pools are heated, very clean and suitable for all ages (paddling pool, small pool, large pool). The multisports ground, table tennis table, games (trampoline,?), Pedal cars allow the children to vary the pleasures in the sported space of the campsite. Access to the sea from the back of the campsite offers a very pleasant walk in the dune and forest. The bike paths are all accessible from the campsite (direction Saint-Gilles or Sands) and offer the opportunity to discover the marshes, the forest and the seaside. Other nearby activities: fishing at sea and in the river (Auzance), canoeing , pony / horse ride, Octopus school (surf, waveski, boogie boards, stand up paddle). Markets and shops are nearby. The campsite staff do their utmost to meet all the needs of holidaymakers. We stayed there and still enjoy pleasant and relaxing stays with children and grandchildren.

Good points: pleasant environment, in a pine forest, nice pool Negatives: unpleasant staff, disruptive elements are kings in the campsite, so if you fall ill, do not rely on the understanding of the owner because his policy is " the most embarrassed are leaving. " And do not pay your stay location in full right from the start because you will not be able to leave earlier in case of problems (or rather you will be able to leave but the owner will not refund you the nights not due ...) Do like our neighbors, take only one night to test the waters if you really want to try. They tried the experiment but left again the next day ...

Know-All-About-Camping

Near Les Sables d'Olonne, in Vendée, is the campsite La Gachère which offers campers the opportunity to spend a stay in the middle of a forest of pines and oaks with direct access to the beach.

La Gachère campsite has a beautiful aquatic area for the whole family. Between April and September, holidaymakers will enjoy a heated indoor pool for relaxation with a bubble pool. A paddling pool also accompanies the pool, for the safety and pleasure of the little ones. In high season opens the outdoor pool, also heated, also accompanied by a paddling pool. After a good swim, nothing better than to settle in the wooden solarium on one of the chairs available and indulge in relaxation. Sports enthusiasts can play table tennis, work out on the multi-sports pitch or go for a trampoline. Children will have fun on the playground with climbing wall, rope ladder, spinning, spring games, tunnel and tower. Bicycle rental is available, as well as a pedal car rental service.

The whole family will be able to have fun at the camping La Gachère thanks to the various animations proposed by the team. Indeed, evenings are organized for the enjoyment of all with the program: dance evenings, lotto evenings, karaoke nights as well as petanque and belote competitions. Evenings challenges and quizzes are also organized. Those who wish will be able to compete on the tatami with sumo costumes.

Camping La Gachère offers unusual accommodation called Campétoile. The latter is a tent on stilts with a picnic table. The originality of this tent is that its roof is transparent, allowing to have a magnificent view of the starry sky. Mobile homes are also available for rent, all with a private terrace. These mobile homes can accommodate from 2 to 6 people and have all the necessary comfort with kitchen, bathroom and toilet

Around the campsite, holidaymakers will be able to visit the Pierre Levée castle, Saint-Gilles Croix de Vie or the Sables d'Olonne zoo.
