"Disappointed for a 3 star !!!!!"

We went 1 week in Mobil-home at the Ascension 2013. No service in the off season, not even the deposit of bread except week-end of the ascent and only from 8am. It is well located because 15 minutes from the center on foot or 5 minutes by bike (1km) and close to the beach and bike paths and that's a real plus. The catalog description corresponds to the services. Our mobile home was clean and functional and large enough ground. Many vis-à-vis. Accessories the bare minimum. The real plus is the covered terrace but beware if toddler as no barriers so danger. Clean sanitary and communal barbecue practice. The pay pool advertised on the catalog is that of the restaurant next door that was not even open during the week and small enough to accommodate the customers of the restaurant but also the residents of the campsite. Restricted playground: a game with a toboggan, a spider, two small "flip-flops" and sand that's all. Bikes are very good against the possibility baby carrier? The welcome on the campsite was very friendly and there is a quick response to any problems. Conclusions: a campsite Very calm and simple. Camping for seniors or person without children especially off season because in my opinion not the benefits of a 3 star and not suited to the expectations of a family except for the beach.

Know-All-About-Camping

The 3-star campsite Campéole Les Amis de la Plage in Bois-Plage-en-Ré, in Charente-Maritime in the Nouvelle-Aquitaine region, opens the doors of one of the most beautiful beaches on the Ile de Ré, labeled Blue Flag. This campsite accepts the ACSI card.

Mobile home for 6 to 8 people - one of them being accessible to people with reduced mobility -, canvas bungalows for 4 to 5 people and comfortable lodge Maasaï with covered terrace of 15m2 for 4 people are the various accommodations offered in this campsite by the sea. Everything is planned to stay comfortably and in all serenity. Note only that the canvas bungalows do not have heating and those planned for 4 people do not offer water or sanitary arrival. you then use the collective facilities made available. Caravans, tents and motorhomes can invest in sunny or semi-shaded bare sites with or without electricity.

With its direct access to the expanses of fine sand and the Atlantic Ocean, the campsite offers a privileged setting. Playground with inflatable structure will delight the little ones but the older ones will also be able to play thanks to the tables of ping-pong and ground of petanque made available.

The site also offers high-season festive and varied entertainment from Sunday to Friday, a children's club for 4-12 years and special times for teenagers 3 times a week.

Place where the bike is king, you will be able to make, between two swims, many cycle rides all around the island.

A bread store is present in July and August; the rest of the year, you will find two steps away, a restaurant with swimming pool open in high season, 1km various shops and 5 km supermarket.

Note that a free electric shuttle every 30 minutes takes you to downtown Bois-Plage for free.

From the campsite, go to meet the heritage Retais, which include the famous fortifications Vauban World Heritage of Unesco and the discovery of the pleasures of oyster farming and viticulture!
