Camping Sitio Da Assumada Eco Turismo

The Sitio Da Assumada campsite is very close to the village of Lajes Das Flores, on the island of Flores, in the Azores archipelago, off Portugal.

Nestled in the heart of lush greenery, it is composed of spacious and well-equipped wooden bungalows. Outside, a private terrace overlooks the garden where you can enjoy the quiet environment.

The bungalows feature air conditioning and heating, and are equipped with flat-screen TVs. Wi-Fi is free and available throughout the property. A private parking, also free, is at your disposal. The reception is open 24 hours a day, and the staff speaks French. The bungalows are on one level and accessible to people with disabilities.

Despite the tranquility of the place, you will have no trouble shopping! In the village you will find several grocery stores for groceries, a café with drinks and pastries and 2 restaurants.

The property does not have a swimming pool, but the beach is only a few minutes walk away. You can then dive into a beautiful natural pool, and admire the fish and the seabed. Near the campsite, you can also admire a beautiful waterfall falling into a small lake. The place is ideal for long walks in unspoiled nature.

The island of Flores is home to many lakes, as well as must-see natural parks: Reserva Florestal Natural das Caldeiras Funda e Rasa and Reserva Florestal Natural do Morro Alto and Pico da Se are less than 7 km from the campsite. If you want to make an excursion, you can take a day to discover the island of Corvo.
